Rise and take up your bed and walk!
This is what I heard Jesus say!
To a man who was lame!
This man obeyed,
He was made whole,
He took up his bed
And he walked. John 5
The Jews said to him,
Why are you carrying your bed?
It is the Sabbath day!
It is unlawful for you to
Do this today!
The man told them,
He that made me whole,
Said to me to pick up your bed today!
The Jews persecuted Jesus,
And sought to slay him
For healing people on the Sabbath day!
Jesus told them,
I am doing what my Father tells me!
God is my Father!
I am his Son!
I am doing what my Father does!
Healing the sick and raising the dead!
All men should honor the Son,
As they honor the Father,
Because who doesn’t honor the Son,
doesn’t honor the Father.
The Jews were angry,
For what Jesus did say that day.
They wanted to kill Him,
For Him to say,
I am the Son of the Living God!
I am saying to you today,
Jesus is the only way!
Will you reject Him?
As the Jews did that day?
Yeshua is the Son of the Living God!
If you are sick today,
Hear Jesus say,
Arise from your bed
You are made whole!
Arise and believe it!
For it is for you today!
